Give a Gift of Homemade Bread With a "Bread" Poem
Here is a quick & easy gift that anyone would love to receive!
First make the bread, then add the cute little "bread" poem.
Easy French Bread
You could process the dough in a bread machine if you'd like.
3 3/4 C flour
1/2 tb dry yeast
1 1/2 tb sugar
3/4 tea salt
1 1/2 C warm water
Put yeast in water & allow to sit while mixing other ingredients. Combine flour, sugar, & salt. Add water tothe flour mixture a little at a time. Knead until mixed & flexible. Roll dough into french bread shape & put on greased cookie sheet. Let rise 45 minutes or until doubled in size. Bake for 10 min at 450º - then 15-20 min. at 350º.
*You could put foil around the loaf to keep it from getting to crisp if you'd like. I would do this after thefirst 10 minutes.
Poem:
Thank you for......
Always "rising" to the occasion
Never letting things rub against your "grain"
Being their when I "knead" you
No matter how you "slice" it, you're a "cut" above the rest!
